We recognise that moving home can be a stressful experience and the purpose of the code is to ensure that members trade in a fair and reasonable manner.
If a customer feels that this might not be the case, the code requires that there are company procedures in place for the investigation and resolution of complaints.
If this is not implemented, the BAR, acting as Code Sponsor, provides a low cost Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme aimed at resolving problems quickly and fairly.
