Description of the blog

We are thrilled to announce that we have been shortlisted for the Relocate Awards' Best International Removals Provider category.

The award looks at the way we approach value, business agility, people management, resources and customer service, all the factors that make us unique as a company. The judges also award points for technological innocations, ease of service and other company differentiators.

We are proud to have been recognised for our hard work and innovative approaches and aim to constantly improve.

We're keeping our fingers crossed for a great result!

As part of our constant attempts to stay ahead of the latest trends in the relocation industry, we are happy to announce that one of our delegates will be attending the Young Movers Conference in May 2018 which will be held in Belgium.

The Young Movers Conference (YMC) is an an annual meeting of young industry professionals from all over the world and its main purpose is to offer both an educational and networking environment during which the latest industry trends are exchanged and new business relationships are built. New relationships are crucial in our industry as our trusted networks of associates help us provide the level of service we're so proud of and aim to maintain in the longterm.

In addition to the YMC, we will also be attending the first ever conference organised by EuRA which will take place in Croatia in April 2018.

Eura is the professional industry body for relocation providers and affiliated services which aims to improve relocation industry service provision. They strive for continuous growth in the industry and provide practical support, advice, training and best practice guidance for all of their members.

Harrow Green International is going to San DiegoAs an International relocation professional we are part of FIDI, the global alliance of professional international moving and relocation companies, specialising in moving people and businesses all over the world based on the best quality standards. Choosing a FIDI member is synonymous with choosing excellence.

If a FIDI Affiliate partners with another FIDI Affiliate in a different country, it means that the two companies are working to the same seamless quality standards.

FIDI’s annual conference for 2018 will be taking place in San Diego, at the iconic Hotel Del Coronado, made famous by the 1959 classic film “Some Like it Hot” starring Marilyn Monroe and we can’t wait to get there!

Besides attending the conference HGI will also be the main sponsor of the FIDI app which allows users to read FIDI Focus, (FIDI’s bi-monthly magazine), check the FIDI conference programme and discover new affiliates as well as keep up-to-date on FIDI’s services to its associates such as PPP, Academy, FAIM and various communications.

This sponsorship will help raise our profile during the event and help us make new contacts within the industry.
If you’d like to know more, don’t hesitate to download the app or contact us for more information. We look forward to seeing you there!

Harrow Green wins Partners in Relocation category at PFM Awards 2017Leading commercial relocation specialist Harrow Green has been awarded the Partners in Relocation award at the prestigious Premises & Facilities Management Awards (PFM).

The announcement was made last night (01 November 2017) at the awards ceremony hosted at The Brewery in London. Now in its 24th year and with 17 categories in total, the PFM Awards commend the people, projects, initiatives and innovations that have shaped the FM landscape over the past year.

New for 2017, the Partners in Relocation category celebrates service providers that have delivered a smooth transition for their customers to new premises, with minimal disruption to day to day business and productivity. Harrow Green’s long-standing partnership with UBS served as the case study for the award, as a prime example of a durable and successful professional relationship in the field of moves and changes. UBS’s UK headquarter consolidation to 5 Broadgate included the move of over 7000 staff and was the largest single relocation project in London in 2016.

Nigel Dews, managing director of Harrow Green, said: “What a fantastic evening and a tremendous result for both the Harrow Green and UBS teams. Winning an industry award that acknowledges our longstanding relationship is the ultimate endorsement of our commitment and hard work. I look forward to continuing our partnership with UBS in the future.”
